ACAD

Graham has been ACAD Manager since joining the association in 2013 having worked in the Asbestos sector for most of his working life after graduating from the University of Sheffield. His role reflects ACAD’s central aim of improving standards throughout the Asbestos industry by continually developing ACAD, overseeing ACAD’s activities and representing ACAD members’ views at all relevant HSE meetings including the Asbestos Liaison Group (ALG) as well as various Build UK groups where Graham takes a leading role.

In the past four years, Graham was instrumental in the creation of Licensed Asbestos Specialist Apprenticeship Programmes (SAP), coordinated the joint industry review of HSG247, led ACAD as the sole organisation that
reviewed HSG210 for the HSE, launched the sectors first CSCS affiliated card scheme the ACAD Skill Card and recently been awarded substantial funding by CITB to ensure high quality VQ assessment for the entire Asbestos sector throughout the UK.
