As a geosynthetic specialist with over 30 years’ experience in geomembranes and associated products, Peter now runs a company providing technical and commercial consultancy support to manufacturers and providers of specialised materials and services aimed at the sector.
He is also involved in both standards setting and providing advice to the legislative process through involvement in several committees.
The Challenges and Opportunities of the Contaminated Land Industry in a post Brexit World
The challenges and opportunities offered by the Brexit process in the contaminated land sector relate mainly to environmental legislation, implementation, regulation and most importantly its enforcement.
Having high environmental standards will ensure that we continue to lead the world with environmental solutions provision, having these mirrored in Europe will obviously ease future trade opportunities for UK based companies, BUT if the standards are not enforced at home we run the risk of losing our position as a premium innovator and designer of solutions for contaminated land management and remediation.
